Presidential candidate of Abkhazia Adgur Ardzinba addressed his supporters and congratulated them on the fact that, according to preliminary estimates, the second round of elections will be held.
He called it a "great victory."
EADaily reported that the CEC of Abkhazia will announce the results of the elections on February 16 at 12.00. However, according to the estimates of the headquarters of the candidates, none of them won 50% of the vote.
According to the telegram channel "Sampling", Badra Gunba is gaining 47% in the presidential elections of Abkhazia. The gap from the nearest pursuer is 11%, while Adgur Arzinba has 36%. No data are provided for the other three candidates.
If more than two candidates for President of the Republic of Abkhazia were included in the ballot and none of them was elected, the Central Election Commission appoints a repeat vote on presidential elections for the two candidates who received the largest number of votes. Repeated voting shall be held no later than two weeks from the date of voting in the general election.
