Colombia today refused to accept two US military transport aircraft with about 160 deported migrants on board. This was reported by Reuters with reference to an American official.
"Colombia on Sunday deployed two American military aircraft flying to the South American country with deported migrants... The planes left California each with about 80 migrants on board when Colombia revoked their permits," the agency said in a statement quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Colombian President Gustavo Petro banned US planes with deportees from entering the country, stressing that the US authorities treat migrants inappropriately.
As EADaily reported, the US authorities arrested 538 illegal migrants and deported hundreds with the help of a military aircraft. This was stated by White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt, NDTV reported.
