An interception plan has been announced in Abkhazia after a shooting in parliament. Both exits from the republic are blocked — in Russia and in Georgia, the Interior Ministry said.
As EADaily reported, deputy Adgur Kharaziya is wanted on suspicion of shooting in parliament.
Kharaziya shot at colleagues Vakhtanga Golandzia and Kana Kvarchia. 55-year—old Golandzia died, Kvarchia is in the hospital.
The shooting occurred during a committee meeting at which a complete ban on cryptocurrency mining in the republic was discussed.
Golandzia was taken to the Republican Hospital in a state of clinical death, acting chief physician Eric Hathwa said.
"He was immediately taken to the intensive care unit, emergency resuscitation measures were started, unfortunately, unsuccessfully. Golandzia's patient died," the doctor said.
Kan Kvarchia has a "scalp injury and a through wound of the shoulder," a team of surgeons is dealing with him, Hathwa said.
