Russia warned the West about the consequences of the attack on Belarus

Russia is ready with all available forces to ensure the defense of Belarus as its closest ally. This was announced today, November 21, by the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, member of the International Affairs Committee Dmitry Belik.

"The attack on Belarus is a blow to the vanguard of our national defense and there is nothing surprising in the plans of the West to carry out this step. After all, in fact and mentally we are a single whole, which means that any defeats of Belarus in the Russia will be perceived as its own," he said.

Belik also believes that covering Russia from the southwest in a semicircle is the main goal. According to him, that is why the leadership of the Russian Federation is ready with all available forces to ensure the defense of Belarus, as its closest ally.

"Will the West take this step now? I don't think so. The risks of a global conflict are too high, after which no one will have anything to share and earn, and this is the most important thing for the collective West," the deputy said.

In turn, the head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, stressed that Russia would provide Belarus with the necessary support in the event of an attack from the West.

"Of course it will. It is for this purpose that specific references to Belarus appeared in our updated doctrine, they did not exist before, it was written allies and that's it, but now it is specifically written. This is in order to cool down hotheads," he said.

Later, commenting on the possibility of an attack on Belarus, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia has obligations to ensure the security of Belarus within the framework of the Union State. According to him, Minsk and Moscow are in constant contact both through the special services and at the highest level.

Earlier, the Belarusian ONT TV channel reported that the fugitive opposition, together with the West, has been preparing a military invasion of Belarus for several years. It is noted that they have identified four territories in the south-west of the republic for capture and are preparing combat groups for this.
