Armenia has experienced a significant reduction in the foreign tourist flow in 2024, the statistics were negatively affected by the fact that Russian tourists began to come much less, said Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan.
"The number of tourists visiting our country in January —September decreased by 6.9%, which is mainly due to a 21.6% decrease in the number of tourists from Russia," said the head of the Armenian Finance Ministry.
The number of visitors from a number of other countries has increased, but not so significantly as to cover the loss of Russian tourists. Russians are still the main guests of the republic.
