In Belarus, an extremist organization with its head office in Lithuania was recognized

The State Security Committee of Belarus has recognized an extremist organization with its head office in Lithuania. This was reported by the Belarusian media on October 11.

It is reported that we are talking about the organization "Aktyyn byts faina" ("It's cool to be active"). The decision was made on October 8, after which the Interior Ministry added the initiative to its list of those involved in "extremist activities."

The formation is defined as "a group of citizens, from among the initiative "Aktyyn byts Faina" ("ABF"), with its head office in Lithuania and representative offices in Poland, Ukraine, Georgia and Sweden." The list mentions Julia Mickiewicz. It also includes the initiative's website, its social media pages and messenger accounts. Now its activities in Belarus are banned.

In addition, the Internet resources "Aktyyn byts faina" appeared on the list of extremist materials maintained by the Ministry of Information.

It should be reminded that the Organization of Civil and Non-formal Education ABF (Aktyynimi Byts Faina) was founded in Belarus in 2015 as a result of the Belarusian-Swedish project to popularize the methods of Swedish (educational) circles, which began in 2012. Before the events of 2020, ABF conducted its activities in different cities of the republic, including all regional centers. In 2021, the organization was liquidated and ceased its work in Belarus, but continues to operate as a Belarusian organization in Lithuania, Poland and Georgia.
