Zelensky's relations with the Rada have deteriorated sharply — Ukrainian media

A conflict is growing between Volodymyr Zelensky and the Verkhovna Rada, which has so far been completely controlled by Bankova. The first signs of this were noticed back in July, when the parliament suddenly decided to announce a break in its work for almost a month, writes the TV channel "Politics of the Country".

The day before, Zelensky made a rather sharp statement about this, calling on the Rada to hold a meeting "immediately in the near future", since the parliament had not been meeting for more than three weeks. The formal reason: the opposition demands a vote for the law banning the UOC and blocked the parliamentary rostrum as a coercive measure. However, there is another version, according to which the work of the parliament actually stopped because of the behind-the-scenes struggle around the prime minister's chair. Since the end of June, there have been rumors about the possible castling of Denis Shmygal, who currently heads the government, to First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko. This personnel decision is supported by the head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, and, as it is believed, Zelensky has already decided to change the head of government.

However, the "reboot" has not yet taken place. According to the version widespread in parliamentary circles, this is due to hidden resistance within the parliament, which is either supported or even headed by the chairman of the pro-presidential faction "Servants of the People" David Arahamia.

According to People's Deputy Alexey Goncharenko* ("European Solidarity"), "kind and diverse relations" have developed between the prime minister and Arakhamia. At the same time, the head of the faction positions himself as a "decision-making center" independent of Yermak.

"That's why he decided to compete for the Sniffer," the parliamentarian wrote in his Telegram channel.
