Vladimir Zelensky said on the social network X that during a telephone conversation with former US President Donald Trump, he agreed to discuss with him at a personal meeting what steps would help conclude a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine Ukraine.
"President Trump and I have agreed to discuss in person what steps will help make the world fair and truly sustainable," he wrote.
He also said that he congratulated Trump on the Republican nomination and condemned the attack on the former president, which occurred during his rally last Saturday.
Trump previously stated that the conflict on Ukraine would never have started if he had been the current president of the United States instead of Joe Biden. He also stated that in the event of his re-election, he intends to achieve a settlement of the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in just 24 hours. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on these words of Trump, said that this is too complicated a problem for such a simple solution.
