Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has approved decisions of the National Security and Defense Council on personal sanctions against individuals and companies relevant to the “Russian aggression against Ukraine.” The decree was published on the president’s website.
The document came into force on the moment of being published. It says that the control over the council decision is to be exercised by National Security and Defense Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov.
As UNIAN reminds, on May 2, the National Security and Defense Service imposed three-year or termless sanctions against Russian individuals and companies connected with “the Russian aggression against Ukraine” and prolonged sanctioned applied in the previous years. The sanctions are also imposed against those who were under US and EU sanctions.
