Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov once again expressed solidarity with the Donbass republics. He made the statement while speaking at the youth forum called “Russia is a country of opportunities”. The minister said this answering a question of a participant from Lugansk, although the question was not about it.
“I want to express our solidarity with you as in such difficult conditions, in an unlawful blockade, when your people in fact are called terrorists, when in response to Donetsk and Lugansk’s unwillingness to put up with the unlawful military coup d’etat, armed forces and security forces were sent against you. You never attacked anyone, but you were attacked,” Lavrov is quoted as saying by PolitNavigator.
He promised that Russia would render support of all kinds to the Donbass republics.
“The actions that are now being taken to suppress you by this blockade, an attempt to make you accept the ultimatum set by Kiev, an attempt to force Lugansk and Donetsk abandon Minsk agreements, we will not allow them becoming a success,” the Russian foreign minister stressed.
