It is not in the Kremlin’s competence to discuss the issue of Lugansk People’s Republic leader Igor Plotnistky arriving to Moscow, Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has announced to reporters.
Answering if they in the Kremlin know about Plotnistky’s visit, if the visit was coordinated with Moscow and how his arrival can influence implementation of the Minsk Agreements, the spokesman noted that the Kremlin still does not find it necessary to comment on the situation with Plotnitsky and LPR. At the same time, he said that Russia’s stance on the Minsk Agreements remains unchanged.
“Arrival of Plotnitsky to Moscow is not the issue the presidential administration is involved in. As for the Minsk Agreements, our position that has repeatedly been declared by President Putin is still the same: there is no alternative to the Minsk Agreements, Russia is still commited to the signature left there by President Putin,” Peskov said.
