Supreme Rada member Nadezhda Savchenko has left Yulia Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna Party, MP Ivan Krulko said Tuesday, on December 13.
“I should say that Nadezhda Savchenko has left Batkivshchyna Party. She has launched her own political career. We, as a faction, cannot speak about a person that is not a member of our party, about what she is doing. She is not coordinating her actions with us,” Krulko said.
He added that Savchenko announced that she was leaving Batkivshchyna Party a few weeks ago, but the Party decided not to make public her decision. He also said that Batkivshchyna Party is not going to discredit Savchenko.
As EADaily reported earlier, Yulia Tymoshenko said Batkivshchyna sought to discuss Savchenko’s possible exclusion from the Party. “She has nothing in common with our party. We have decided to convene the faction, invite Nadezhda and discuss these issues with her to adopt a final decision,” she said.
