Ukraine has launched missile-firing exercises near Russia’s Crimea on December 1 in the morning, testing S-300 missile systems, according to Vladimir Kryzhanovsky, Head of Ukraine’s South Air Command press office.
In his words, “these are mid-range ground-to-air guided missile flight tests” and the 30km from the border of the Russian Federation, specifically the airspace of Crimea, is a rather long distance by international standards.
As EADaily reported earlier, Moscow has repeatedly expressed its protest against the above exercises, as they violate the international law. Nevertheless, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine announced that the exercises would be held anyway.
Crimea has shift to robust security regime in view of Ukraine’s ongoing missile exercises.
