A Kiev district administrative court has satisfied claim of the Ukrainian Justice Ministry against the Communist Party of Ukraine and ruled to ban activity of the party.
The claim was raised by the Justice ministry in order to implement the Ukrainian law “On condemning the Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine”.
Leader of the Russian Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov condemns the court ruling. “We not only condemn it, we shall call the whole world to raise against this clique that seized the power in Kiev,” Zyuganov says. He calls the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and all leftist political forces to stand against the ban and promised support of the Russian Communist Party.
He believes that the ruling is a “shame for the whole Ukraine, the Ukrainian people.” “No one, no court can prohibit a person to think and share certain values. This will result in nothing,” Zyuganov is sure.
