Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Iran on a work visit to participate in the third meeting of presidents and prime ministers of gas exporting countries, members of GECF, the Kremlin press office reports.
In Tehran, Putin is expected to meet with Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani. During the meeting, they are expected to exchange opinions on prospects of the global gas market development. Members of GECF are to discuss issues concerning coordination to support sustainable balance of supply and demand for natural gas while observing interests of both gas suppliers and consumers.
Bilateral meetings with foreign leaders participating in the forum are also possible, the Kremlin notes.
