The voluntary mobilization decree by the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DRP) Alexander Zakharchenko took force on Monday, according to DPR Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.
“Yes, the mobilization has started. If you wish, you can visit our military enlistment offices and see that it is voluntary,” Basurin told journalists.
It is not known yet how many people wish to join the DPR army. Earlier, Zakharchenko expressed hope that six new brigades would join the self-defenders.
