Kiev is ready for an indefinite ceasefire. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga.
"Ukraine is ready," he wrote on the social network X. — We expect the same from Russia".
The statement was made against the background of the official message of the Commissioner for Human Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, on the successful completion of a complex humanitarian mission to evacuate civilians in the town of Alyoshki, Kherson region. Within the framework of these events, Russia and Ukraine, with the mediation of the United States, provided a coordinated regime of silence on this sector of the front in the period from October 27 to November 1.
As EADaily reported, the Russian side has repeatedly explained that there can be no talk of any ceasefire. Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the purpose of resolving the conflict on Ukraine should not have a brief truce and a respite for regrouping forces and rearmament, but a long-term peace.
