Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an interview with TASS head Andrei Kondrashov, told about the case when he almost died. It happened during a horse ride.
The horses almost knocked the diplomat into the abyss, he miraculously managed to stop. There was an incident in Altai. Lavrov shared the story in response to Kondrashov's question about whether there was something in his life that could not be explained by anything other than divine intervention.
"It probably happened. I would not like to remember some stories," Sergey Lavrov said.
And then I decided to continue: "We once rafted on the Katun River. We made a stop, took horses, went to the mountains."
"I was engaged in equestrian sports at the institute. I had some skills, but not all of the guys. Suddenly the horses took off when we were already going down. There's a mountain on the right, a really decent abyss on the left. One of my comrades got carried away. He could almost knock me down. By some miracle, we managed to stop," the head of the department reported the details of those events.
