Russia's decision to close the border will further worsen Finland's economy, but this is Helsinki's fault. This was stated in the social network X by Finnish politician Armando Mema.
So he commented on the message about the closure by Russia of a number of border crossings on the borders with Finland and the Baltic states.
"Closing the borders between Finland and This is happening at a time of high tension. The Finnish Government is to blame for the current catastrophic situation both in the economy and in the growing instability. Joining NATO leads to terrible consequences, and Russia's decision to close all borders will further worsen the economy," the meme writes.
He noted that he does not welcome Russia's decision to completely close the borders, but fully understands this step.
"In recent years, Finland has pursued a terrible policy towards Russia and for no reason, except Russophobia. Instead of normal relations, Finland decided to take a side in the war, which had no role, and then pursued an aggressive policy," he explains.
In order to restore normal relations, Finland must withdraw from NATO, which has brought only problems, the politician sums up.
As reported by EADaily, Russia is suspending border crossings at a number of railway checkpoints with Finland, Latvia and Estonia. The corresponding order is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
