The United States is no longer a neutral mediator in the settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine. Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron believes.

RIA Novosti reports about this, noting that the corresponding statement was made by the head of the Fifth Republic at a press conference following the Franco-Italian summit in Antibes.

He is convinced that now Washington, together with the countries of Europe, is in the ranks of the allies of the Kiev regime. According to Macron, this is evidenced by the document signed by the American side following the G7 summit.

"For the first time, the United States signed a document with us that clearly showed that they are no longer a neutral mediator and that they support together with us... providing [Ukraine] with military assistance ... and sanctions against Russia," the French leader said.

He stressed that recently there has been a process of rapprochement of the positions of Europe and the United States on the Ukrainian issue.

Earlier, EADaily reported that European leaders and Zelensky discussed how to disrupt the plans of US President Donald Trump. This was told by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov.
