"The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia <> decided to reduce <> bet by 25 basis points," the statement said.
Recall that in June 2025, for the first time in almost three years, it was reduced to 20%, then in July it was set at 18%, in September - 17%, in October — 16.5%, in December — 16%, in February 2026 - 15.5%, in March — 15%., and in April 14.5%.
Before that, the Central Bank of Russia reduced it in September 2022 to 7.5%. In the middle of 2023, the Bank of Russia began to increase due to accelerated inflation and rapid credit growth. In July 2024, the rate was raised by two percentage points to 18%. In September of the same year, another percentage point was added to it, and in October it was increased by two to a record 21%. At a historical high, the indicator lasted more than seven months.
