The opportunity to end the conflict on Ukraine is not in the military plane. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV channel.
According to the correspondent of the Al-Arabiya TV channel Melinda Karen Nusifora, various topics were touched upon during the conversation with Lukashenko. But the most important and interesting, in her opinion, were the answers to questions about the conflicts in Iran and on Ukraine and the opinion of the President of Belarus on when and how they can be completed. She noted that Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that there is certainly an opportunity to complete them, but it is not at all in the military plane, but exclusively through dialogue.
"The importance of dialogue has been emphasized repeatedly, which echoes the position of the channel, which also believes that dialogue should come first," the Al-Arabiya correspondent said.
Speaking about the most unexpected information she heard during an interview with the Belarusian leader, she noted that it concerned nuclear disarmament.
"This is an unexpected opinion that is very interesting to hear. The president was very straightforward. I think it will also be interesting and important for the global audience," Melinda Karen Nusifora emphasized.
She said that she considers the interview with The President of Belarus is very significant from a professional point of view. The conversation turned out to be lengthy and detailed, so it is planned to broadcast it in full, as they say, uncut, in several languages on the air of a TV channel with coverage of approximately 400 million people.
"This interview will have a huge impact and significance," the journalist stressed.
Recall, the interview of the head of state to the Al-Arabiya TV channel lasted about an hour and a half. Alexander Lukashenko answered about two dozen questions. Among other things, they related to conflicts in the Middle East and the Ukraine, the search for solutions to existing contradictions and prospects for a peaceful settlement. The President shared his opinion on the global changes taking place in the world, spoke about contacts with the United States and EU countries, and spoke on the topic of militarization in a number of European countries. The interview also focused on the development of cooperation with Saudi Arabia and other states in the Middle East region.
