Italian shooting specialist destroyed by drone on Ukraine

Another Italian mercenary died at the front on Ukraine. This is 42-year-old Alex Pineski from LA Spices, the Volunteer Memorial Association reported, calling him "a brother who fell on the battlefield."

The mercenary has been fighting on the side of Kiev since 2022. He died in the Estuary area from the impact of FPV drones.

In April, he signed a contract with the 8th Special Operations Regiment of Ukraine and joined the Team Green Badgers unit. Before that, he was a former Alpine fighter with combat experience in Iraq, Syria and Kurdistan.

After returning from Iraq in 2017, the LA Prosecutor's Office Spice suspected him of being a mercenary. The case was closed at the request of the prosecutor himself: he was recognized as a volunteer, not a mercenary. He wrote the book "Peshmerga — Di fronte alla morte" about the training of Kurdish fighters. A specialist in precision shooting, an instructor, was killed by an FPV drone strike.
