Slovakia temporarily closed all border checkpoints with Ukraine on May 13 for security reasons, the press service of the republic's financial department reported.
"For security reasons, all border crossings on the border with Ukraine are closed today from about 15:00 until further notice," the statement said.
It is specified that the decision was made against the background of explosions that sounded on the Ukraine. Less than two hours later, the police announced the opening of border crossings.
As EADaily reported, earlier Bratislava offered the European Union to find a strong representative who would defend Europe's interests in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
