The official representative of the Special Technology Center (STC) company, which is the creator of the Orlan line of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), confirmed the work on improving the drone's stealth parameter. Details are provided by TASS.
The information appeared on the sidelines of the International Asian Arms and Military Equipment Exhibition Defense Services Asia (DSA) 2026, held in Malaysia.
Tests of new modifications are already underway. Plus, engineers are working to increase the load that the UAV can carry. In the work of the STC, it is based on the requirements of potential customers.
"One of them is low visibility in the optical and radio bands. Therefore, while maintaining the functionality, we are interested in reducing the size of the UAV," the source said.
