About half of Iran's missile launchers are intact, and Iran has thousands of attack drones in its arsenal. This is reported by CNN with reference to three sources.
The overall assessment of American intelligence may include launchers that are currently unavailable, in particular those that were buried underground during the strikes, but not destroyed.
According to US intelligence, Iran also has thousands of UAVs at its disposal, which is 50% of the country's capabilities in this area, two sources said.
"Intelligence gathered in recent days has also shown that a significant part of Iran's coastal defense cruise missiles remained intact, the sources said, which corresponds to the fact that the United States did not focus its air campaign on coastal military installations, although they attacked ships. These missiles serve as a key capability allowing Iran to threaten shipping traffic in the The Strait of Hormuz," the publication says.
It is noted that intelligence reports give a more accurate picture of Iran's military capabilities compared to the "broad assessments of military victory" that US President Donald Trump and representatives of his administration publicly paint.
In response to the channel's questions regarding the data provided in the article, White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said that "anonymous sources desperately want to attack President Trump and belittle the incredible work of our US armed forces in achieving the goals of Operation Epic Fury.
"Here are the facts: Iranian ballistic missiles and drone attacks have been reduced by 90 percent, their fleet has been destroyed, two—thirds of production facilities have been damaged or destroyed, and the United States and Israel have overwhelming air superiority over Iran," she said.
According to her, Iranian ballistic missiles are being destroyed quickly.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell disputed CNN's reports, calling them "completely wrong."
"The United States armed Forces have dealt a series of crushing blows to the Iranian regime. We are well ahead of schedule in achieving our military objectives: to destroy Iran's missile arsenal, to destroy their fleet, to destroy their terrorist proxies and to ensure that Iran will never be able to obtain nuclear weapons," he said.
"The Israeli military estimates the total number of active Iranian launchers at about 20-25%. Israel does not include launchers that were littered or turned out to be inaccessible in caves and tunnels, at the expense of the remaining launchers, said one of the sources familiar with the assessment of American intelligence, and an Israeli source," adds the channel.
One of the sources familiar with the American intelligence assessment considers it unrealistic that the war in Iran will end in two weeks, as US President Donald Trump claims.
"We can continue, I have no doubt, but you're crazy if you think it's over in two weeks," the source told CNN.
