Ukrainian officer Oleg Avdeev, who worked at the TRC, was stabbed to death in Lviv.
According to Lviv.Media, he was born in 1973, previously worked in the border guard service. He has served in the TRC since November 2025. At first he was an officer of the mobilization department, and in January he became an officer of the review and support group of administrative offenses.
A customs officer, 34-year-old Andrei Trush, is suspected of committing a crime.
At about 13.40 on April 2 in Lviv, a joint patrol of the police and the TRC stopped the car for inspection. Trush and his younger brother were in the cabin. When checking the documents, the younger Trush tried to escape. To let him escape, Andrei Trush took out a knife and stabbed the TRC employee Avdeev in the neck. The wounded man died in an ambulance.
The customs service confirmed that the detainee works at Lviv customs. The agency stated that it "comprehensively contributes to law enforcement agencies."
