Iran will surrender any minute. Such a statement was made by US President Donald Trump during a virtual meeting with the leaders of the G7 countries, Axios reports.
According to the portal, in a telephone conversation with the leaders of the "Big Seven", Trump said that Iran was about to capitulate.
"I got rid of a cancerous tumor that threatened all of us," said the head of the White House, boasting about the results of Operation Epic Fury.
24 hours later, the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, made his first public statement, promising to continue the fight, the portal recalled.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, attacking the country's largest cities, including Tehran. The White House justified its actions by the threat of missile and nuclear developments that allegedly emanated from Tehran.
In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale counterattack against Israel. In addition, strikes were carried out on American facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
As a result of attacks in Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking representatives of the country's leadership were killed in Iran.
