Makar from the Adventures of Electronics has died — Odessa public

Makar passed away from the "Adventures of Electronics", according to the public "Black list Odessa".

"On the 62nd year of his life, after a long illness, Odessa resident Vasily Modest died - an actor remembered by the audience for the role of Makar Gusev in the cult film "Adventures of Electronics" directed by Konstantin Bromberg," the Odessa public Facebook post says ❶.

It is noted that for children and teenagers of the 1980s, this film has become a true legend. The tape taken on The Odessa film studio quickly gained popularity, and its characters fell in love with viewers throughout the Soviet Union.

"Vasily got into the cinema almost by accident. Assistant director Yulia Konstantinova noticed him while searching for children for filming: the boy slid down the school railing and almost bumped into her. This episode turned out to be enough — no long castings were needed, " the report says.

Vasily Modest was born on August 26, 1964 in Odessa. He did not develop a film career. Modest served as a long-distance boatswain on Ukrainian merchant ships.

The media reported that Modest stopped communicating with his Russian colleagues after the SMO began. Actor Vladimir Torsuev said that Vasily Modest, with whom he starred in The Adventures of Electronics, stopped communicating with him after the start of the special operation. Torsuev noted that Modest also did not keep in touch with other colleagues in the picture. He recalled that the actor who played the bully Makar Gusev was the only one who had an acting education among the children on the set, but he chose a different path and became a sailor.

"He is from Odessa. And now he walks on the seas and oceans. In connection with this situation — since the Ukrainians own the ship on which he sails — he is afraid of losing his job and does not communicate with Russian channels or with us," the actor told the "Paragraph".
