Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei has died. This information was confirmed by the State television of the Islamic Republic.
It is reported that Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian, the head of the judiciary and one of the members of the Constitutional Guardian Council will temporarily lead the republic after the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. A governing council has been formed in Iran, which will serve as supreme leader until Khamenei's successor is elected. As the chairman of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said, Iran is ready for any scenario and will continue to adhere to the line of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
