The Russian military, previously released from Ukrainian captivity, were treated in Belarus and went home. This was reported on February 22 on the Belarus 1 TV channel.

It is reported that earlier the Ukrainian side voluntarily delivered a group of Russian servicemen. Here they were provided with all the necessary assistance — from initial examination to rehabilitation. One of the servicemen, who was in a more serious condition, underwent surgery and was sent to the Russian Federation on a special board to continue treatment.

It is noted that for several weeks they were treated in a medical institution of the Gomel region. We flew away with words of gratitude to the Belarusian doctors and personally to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

"At first I didn't even believe it, I thought it was a dream. It turned out to be different. We arrived in Belarus, we were exchanged. Well treated, cared for. They provided assistance. I had an operation — a fragment was taken out of my hand. The doctor came often. Words could not convey. Many thanks to him (Alexander Lukashenko — EADaily) for everything he does," one of the fighters shared his emotions on the air.

Recall that Belarus does not participate in the Russian SMO at the Ukraine, but supports Moscow's actions. Minsk emphasizes that it will continue to fulfill its humanitarian mission and assist in the exchange and release of people.
