Ukraine ignored Russia's proposal

Ukraine has ignored Russia's proposal to create a bilateral center for monitoring and control of the ceasefire regime. This was stated to the TASS news agency by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

"At the same time, Kiev has left unanswered our proposals to improve the effectiveness of the negotiation process by creating a bilateral center for monitoring and controlling the ceasefire regime, working groups to resolve military, political and humanitarian issues. There was no clear reaction to our readiness to raise the level of heads of delegations," he said.

Galuzin said that the Istanbul format of negotiations has not been officially completed, and Russia continues to participate in this process.

"As you remember, three rounds of consultations were held there in 2025: in May, June and July. At the same time, in November last year, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry publicly announced the unilateral termination of negotiations in Istanbul, allegedly due to the lack of "tangible progress." It looks, to say the least, strange," the deputy minister added.
