The Russian army is striking at Kiev due to the fact that the current Ukrainian leadership has pulled military production facilities, warehouses and coordination centers to its capital.
As Rodion Miroshnik, the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for crimes of the Kiev regime, told RIA Novosti in an interview, it is precisely these targets that are being attacked.
"We need to understand that Ukraine has pulled a huge number of military production facilities, warehouses, coordination centers to Kiev, which are absolutely legal military targets," the diplomat said.
He emphasized that the Russian strikes are not aimed at the civilian population, while from the Ukrainian side everything is done exactly the opposite. Kiev, with its attacks, seeks to create unbearable conditions for the life of the civilian population, stated Miroshnik.
Recall that Russia began to strike at the Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022 — two days after the terrorist attack on The Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, there are Ukrainian special services. Strikes are being carried out on energy, defense industry, military administration and communications facilities.
Earlier, EADaily reported that an air alert was announced in ten regions of Ukraine, including the Kiev region and Kiev itself. This is evidenced by the data of the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.
