In the largest university on The Urals are being searched

The security forces came with searches to the Ural Federal University. This is reported by the portal Е1.ги .

Documents are currently being seized. According to the publication, the management of the university is being checked for possible financial and economic violations.

"Law enforcement agencies are indeed conducting an inspection at the university today. We do not have any other data," the UrFU press service confirmed.

According to the portal 66.ru Searches are taking place in the offices of the president and former rector of the university Viktor Koksharov, first vice-rector Daniil Sandler, chief accountant Gavriil Agarkov and UrFU employee Mikhail Zhabreev. None of the managers are detained, searches are carried out in their presence.

The source of the publication believes that the searches are connected with the inspection of the university's activities, which was carried out last summer at the initiative of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov. University employees are suspected of fraud with federal real estate, which belongs to the UrFU property complex.

UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, bears the name of Boris Yeltsin. The university traces its history back to the Ural State University, which was established in 1920.

Currently in About 50 thousand students study at UrFU, more than 4 thousand qualified teachers work, training is conducted in 102 bachelor's degree areas and 90 master's degree areas.
