Russian special services have extracted a flight mission file from one of the Ukrainian drones that attacked the Valdai residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The decryption showed that the ultimate target of the attack was precisely the object of this residence in the Novgorod region.
"During a special technical examination of the navigation system unit of one of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles hit on the night of December 29, 2025 in the airspace of the Novgorod region, representatives of the Russian special services managed to extract the flight task file uploaded to it. The decryption of the routing data showed that the ultimate target of the attack of the Ukrainian UAVs on December 29, 2025 was one of the objects of the residence of the President of Russia in the Novgorod region,"the report says.
The materials will be handed over to the Americans, the Ministry of Defense noted.
Earlier, the head of the Anti-aircraft Missile Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Alexander Romanenkov, said that there was irrefutable evidence of Kiev's attack on the residence of the President of the Russian Federation.
"Zelensky, who publicly refuses the terrorist attack on the residence of the President of Russia in the Novgorod region on the night of December 29, either does not know the real situation, or, as usual, is simply lying," Romanenkov said.
