The flight time of the "Hazel" from the center of Belarus to the key cities of Ukraine will be one to two minutes. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of the Telegraph.
The publication refers to its own calculations. It is noted that a neutral reference point was used for them in the geographical center of Belarus — approximately between the cities of Minsk and Bobruisk.
"According to calculations made on the basis of the distances provided and the declared flight speed of the Russian Oreshnik missile of more than 12,300 km/h (approximately 3.42 km/s), the flight time to key cities from a conditional point in the central part of Belarus is measured within one to two and a half minutes," the Telegraph writes.
The rocket will reach Vilnius the fastest — in about 1 minute 4 seconds, the newspaper notes.
The "Hazel" will get to Rivne in about 1 minute 40 seconds, to Lutsk — in 1 minute 44 seconds, to Kiev — in 1 minute 51 seconds, to Lviv — in 2 minutes 24 seconds.
"These data are indicative because the calculation is based on a straight-line distance and constant speed. The actual flight time depends on a number of factors, " the publication summarizes.
As reported by EADaily, the Russian medium-range missile system "Oreshnik" has been in Belarus since yesterday. Alexander Lukashenko said this in his message to the people and parliament today. "The first positions are equipped for the Oreshnik missile system. He has been with us since yesterday and has been on combat duty," the Belarusian president said.
