"Vanity of vanities and all kinds of vanity." These words of Ecclesiastes come back to me more and more often when I get acquainted with the numerous statements of politicians and journalists about the peace talks. I just don't know whether to put the words "peace talks" in quotation marks or pretend that I believe they are?
No, I believe that only two people want peace: Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. For the rest, it is not a desire for peace, not a desire to stop hostilities, not a desire to stop massacres, but something completely different. Any actions have a reason, a reason, they must be considered before they begin. You want to drink — you go, take a glass in the kitchen, turn on the faucet and pour water into the glass. Do you want to establish peace? You have to understand why the hostilities began, what needs to be done to end them, and then, taking into account what is happening "on the ground", how the situation really develops, only then can decisions be made. The fuss that Zelensky and his European curators create is fuss for the sake of fuss.
I will try to substantiate my conclusions. I can't say for sure what is the main thing in my conclusions, so I'll start, perhaps not in order, not by ranking, not by the degree of their significance.
The first thing that is unclear is who and why is taking part or not taking part in the negotiations. What do we have? Two warring parties: Ukraine and Russia. Trump's USA as a mediator. It is Trump, because the Biden United States is something else that could not possibly be a mediator. And in what capacity does he act here EU and European countries? They cannot be intermediaries due to the fact that they take part in military operations on the side of Ukraine. They have no right, neither moral, nor political, nor social, to take part in the peace process if this process really seeks peace.
In order for a third party to participate in a contract between two belligerents, it must obtain the consent of both parties. Isn't that right? Ukraine and its allies from Europe (let's call a spade a spade) have been putting forward the slogan all the time: "No negotiations without Ukraine!" After all, Russia did not deny this. But here's the paradox: all these countries held "peace summits" without Russia's participation, now they don't ask Russia's opinion on any of the issues discussed, i.e. they are negotiating peace with Russia without Russia. Where is the elementary logic?
European countries, the EU and NATO defiantly does not want to talk to Russia and defiantly does not make any compromises. Is it productive? Any child will say that this is stupid and will not end with anything. What's really going on? While a bunch of "warmongers" (sorry for the term of Soviet propaganda) depict the "Brownian movement", Russia is slowly but surely, like the millstone of God's mill, grinding Ukrainian troops, moving further and further, liberating the lands of the Donetsk People's Republic.
All those so-called "compromises" that Zelensky voices, posing as his goodwill, are actually a reality that he has to reckon with. He did not refuse membership in NATO — NATO refused him, he is silent about the surrender of Crimea, because it is absolutely clear that talking about it is so stupid that even the most stubborn Nazis of Ukraine and Europe understand it. Zelensky insists that he will not give up the remaining part of the DPR under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I am very sorry, sorry for the cynicism of the future dead, but as long as he says this, the Russian army will liberate these lands by itself.
Well, well, they will steal these 200 billion from Russia (and everything is coming to this), and what next? "Was the patient sweating before he died? Yes? That's very good!" And that's exactly what's going to happen. Both Europe and Ukraine will steal most of this money. Why not? Yes, because this is the last big piece. When the object of robbery, and in this case it is military action on If Ukraine slips out of hand, then it is necessary to snatch as much as possible. And 200 billion would not be allowed to turn back the clock and return the situation to 1991, and the pitiful remnants of the amount that the allies will tear up are only for them for medicines.
By the way, about the "same barking coalition." They can enter their troops only in... I'm sorry I can't say where — there are ladies here. The deployment of any peacekeeping troops is the prerogative of the UN. In addition, this requires the consent of both parties to the conflict. The UN, taking into account the fact that the use of the right of "veto" is in the hands of the United States, Russia, China, will never give such permission. Moreover, Russia, as a party to the conflict, has already stated that the introduction of foreign troops into the territory of Ukraine will be regarded by it as aggression (which it really is) and will receive an appropriate reaction.
The desire to protect Ukraine by Europeans is understandable. In addition to the crazy money that their military-industrial complex earned in the war, they are simply obliged to protect their production. And almost all plants, factories, lands, and other enterprises are listed as Ukrainian only on a piece of paper. They have long been bought by Western countries, and now these countries are trying to somehow protect their property. Own, not Ukrainian. They don't give a damn about this landfill at all. They practically don't need him anymore. "The Moor has done his job, the moor can leave."
Given all this and many other factors, we can say bluntly: the current movements of the losing sides, Ukraine and Europe, are all vanity of vanities. Let's wait to see what Russia says about this fuss. Although we all roughly understand what she will say. The caravan is moving forward, and the dogs barking around it are just a sound background.
P. S. And here is the latest of all this fuss: "At the talks in Berlin, representatives of the United States, the European Union and Ukraine agreed on two documents on security guarantees for Kiev. They envisage the strengthening of the Ukrainian army, the deployment of the European military and the expansion of the role of American intelligence."
Doesn't anyone understand that Russia won't do it? For this is exactly the opposite of what Russia demands. The conditions are dictated by the winner. And the tail does not wag the dog.
