Hungarian Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy said that by 2030 the export of agricultural products from the country will increase significantly — from 10 billion euros to a total of 16 billion euros. Details are given by the publication Profit.Ro .
Nagy said that the sector's productivity will increase by 50%, and the added value will double over this period. According to Budapest Business Journal, the Hungarian minister added that farmers who applied for support in 2025 received 427 million euros more than it was in 2024.
Nagy also called the government's decision to increase the national co-financing rate for investments supported by the European Union to 80% "historic", which will significantly increase the total resources. Especially Hungarian suppliers have succeeded in increasing exports of milk, butter and cheese. The trend is expected to continue next year.
