Russia needs a long-term strategic partnership and friendship with Abkhazia and the Abkhaz people, First Deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Russia Sergey Kiriyenko said in an interview with republican TV channels.
"And I would like them not to depend on the results of the next elections," Kiriyenko said.
Another goal is the self—sufficiency of the Abkhaz economy.
Kiriyenko stressed that these priorities were formulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and work is underway to achieve them.
