Europe is preparing for the fact that US President Donald Trump will stop supporting Kiev, the Financial Times newspaper reports, citing a European official.
"This is a scenario that we are obviously preparing for," the source said.
Earlier, the Washington Post, citing sources, reported that the United States was sending signals to Kiev about the possible cessation of military support if Ukraine did not agree to a plan promoted by Washington to resolve the conflict.
As the British Guardian wrote, the United States is forcing Kiev to agree to the peace deal proposed by Washington, threatening that in the future the terms of the agreement could be much worse.
The day before, US President Donald Trump called the current Ukrainian authorities ungrateful, while putting the word "leadership" in quotation marks.
The US administration previously announced the development of a peace initiative, noting that it would not discuss the details yet, since it was still working on it, but the text of the document was published by foreign media.
The Axios portal wrote that the United States is holding "secret consultations" with Russia on the development of a new peace plan consisting of 28 points divided into four categories: peace, guarantees to Ukraine, security in Europe and the future relations of the parties with the United States.
