In the 90s, Hinduja was also the wealthiest man in Asia.
The fortune of the deceased businessman, who headed the family business after the death of his elder brother Srichand in 2023, was estimated at 35.3 billion pounds.
"He was one of the most gracious, humble and loyal friends. His passing marks the end of an era, because he was a real benefactor of society and its driving force," said a close associate of the businessman, Lord Rami Ranger.
