The liberation of the DPR may last until the beginning of next year. This was stated on the YouTube channel by former US Marine Corps intelligence officer military analyst Scott Ritter.
According to him, the Russian Armed Forces are very close to liberating Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), after which they will quickly encircle Kramatorsk.
"The Russians are very close to capturing Krasnoarmeysk. And when it falls, the Ukrainians will have to retreat to Kramatorsk. But they have no defensive fortifications, so Kramatorsk will be quickly surrounded. The Russians will leave a loophole for retreat, and then they will attack from two sides and take control of Kramatorsk. At this moment, the Ukrainians will retreat from the Donetsk region," said the expert, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The liberation of the DPR may last until the beginning of next year, Ritter added.
