Former governor of California, movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger proposed a plan to "preserve democracy in the United States."
"The method I propose to preserve democracy is to make a proposal, such as, for example, the "act on the preservation of democracy." It's just an idea that we will make election day a weekend... secondly... there should be an honest commission on electoral districts... thirdly, there should be a voter ID card," Schwarzenegger said on the evening show "Currently with Bill Mar."
He stressed that all these ideas have already been implemented in Europe.
Earlier, Schwarzenegger opposed the redrawing of electoral districts in the states of California and Texas on the eve of the midterm congressional elections.
