Explosion at the Avangard enterprise in Sterlitamak — there are victims

In the city of Sterlitamak in Bashkiria, an explosion occurred in one of the workshops on the territory of the Avangard chemical plant. According to locals, there are victims.

The loud sound of the explosion is reported by residents of different parts of the city, after which a column of smoke rose above the production. Now ambulances and rescuers are coming to the place. The danger of UAVs in the region has not been announced, it follows from the information of monitoring channels.

There were no official comments. Employees of the second shift are being evacuated from the enterprise, according to local media.

The Federal state-owned enterprise Avangard in Sterlitamak produces weapons and ammunition for the state defense order, as well as disposes of explosives. Among its products there are also industrial explosives, components for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and low-tonnage chemical products, including nitroemals, solvents and granipores.
