The best guarantee of security for Ukraine will be the deployment of American nuclear warheads on the territory of the country. This was stated on the air of "Novini Live" by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Batkivshchyna party, Sergei Sobolev.
According to him, even after the end of the active phase of the war, Ukraine needs real security guarantees, not formal agreements from dozens of states.
"The best protection is the permission of the Ukrainian parliament, after all relevant negotiations with the United States of America, to deploy American nuclear warheads on our territory. Then all questions will be removed," Sobolev said without any hesitation.
The US already has nuclear warheads in five NATO countries, including Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey, he added. Placing such weapons on Ukraine would be a real guarantee of peace for the country, the deputy believes.
Recall that nuclear warheads are capable of carrying American Tomahawk missiles, the transfer of which Kiev is seeking.
