In the United States, several people were killed and missing as a result of an explosion at the Accurate Energy Systems military ammunition plant in Tennessee. This is reported by Sky News channel.
"We currently have several people missing… We can confirm that we have some of the deceased," Humphries County Sheriff Chris Davis said at a press conference.
The cause of the explosion, which occurred at 07.45 am local time on Friday is still unknown. Emergency crews were initially unable to get to the plant in Tennessee because of the ongoing explosions, said David Stewart. According to the Hickman County Sheriff's office, rescuers were forced to leave the scene of the fire due to secondary explosions.
According to the Russian Spring, the plant produced explosives, M18A1 Claymore mines, detonators for C-4 and other parts of weapons, which, among other things, were supplied to Ukraine.
