Professor of the First Moscow State University named after I.M. Sechenov Amina Garaeva was arrested by a court in Moscow in a case of bribery. This is reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
It is specified that Garayeva is charged under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Mediation in bribery). She was arrested for 2 months.
It was not possible to find information about Garayeva in the general list of employees on the official website of the university.
According to Kommersant, Garayeva is an associate professor at the N.A. Semashko Department of Public Health and Public Health. At MSMU, she teaches medical statistics as well as public health and public health. She was awarded the Order of Merit in the Field of Medicine and Healthcare, as well as the Medal for Courage and Humanism.
