The meeting of the leaders of Russia and The Ukraine of Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, apparently, will not take place. This was stated at a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
"We have to discuss this topic again today (the conflict on Ukraine. — Ed.). And this is against the background of the fact that the meeting between... Zelensky and President Putin, apparently, will not take place, contrary to what was agreed by President (US Donald) Trump and President Putin last week, when we (with other European leaders. — Ed.) together were in Washington," said Merz, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to Merz, this fact should be taken into account in further negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict.
