Russian units from the Zapad group of forces, conducting combat operations in the Krasnolimansk direction, were able to improve their tactical position in two important sectors of the front at once.
This was stated in his Telegram channel on Friday, August 15, by a military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko, citing his own sources.
"In the course of active liberation actions over the past day The Russian Armed Forces advanced in the direction of the Stavka settlement from the western positions at the Wells and Mirny in the DPR," the veteran said.
According to him, in response, the enemy is building up forces and means to stabilize the situation in the area. It is noted that in the village of Drobyshevo, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out engineering work on retrofitting positions and defensive lines.
"By the nature of the enemy's actions, it can be concluded that this particular settlement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being prepared for a kind of outpost, since it is located on a hill and has a number of other advantages for conducting defensive actions," the expert concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Alexandrograd of the Donetsk People's Republic as a result of active offensive actions.
