US President Donald Trump assured European leaders that any territorial issues concerning Ukraine cannot be resolved without Ukraine, French President Emmanuel said after Trump's conversation with European leaders and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
"This is the position that we support," Macron said.
According to him, the Europeans made it clear to Trump that "there must be a clear link between any potential territorial concessions and security guarantees for Ukraine."
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said after the conversation that European leaders are determined to contribute to the success of the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.
"Therefore, we, the Europeans, are doing everything possible to direct the course of this meeting in the right direction," he said.
The chancellor "has hope that something is changing, there is hope that on Peace will come to Ukraine."
